Role in the project: DRAXIS is responsible for the mapping of local agri-food systems, available feedstocks, actors, processes etc. in Uganda, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Senegal, as well as Life Cycle Assessment, Life Cycle Cost Analysis and Social Life Cycle Assessment per pilot case. DRAXIS will also be responsible for the assessment of replicability potential of the project business models in other regions and sectors in Africa.

DRAXIS was founded in 2000 in Thessaloniki, and is a dynamic company that focuses on providing specialised environmental consulting services and developing real life environmental ICT solutions. DRAXIS develops integrated plans for the management of municipal solid waste including biowaste and food waste as well as from special waste streams to national and European level and undertakes the implementation of technical studies and technical offers related to waste management. The company has expertise on Life Cycle Assessment of waste management systems including analysis of the technical system, its impact assessment and overall evaluation and can provide policy analysis regarding waste management, planning of waste prevention strategies and campaigns, development of monitoring indicators and procedures.
