Role in the project: GRASSA will be the technology provider of the small-scale green biorefinery of BIO4AFRICA, adapting and optimising the unit in the demonstration case studies.

GRASSA! BV is a Dutch SME that started in 2014 to develop a small-scale mobile green biorefinery processor for grass and other fresh leafy residues. The second generation GRASSA processor has been running since January 2015 in Uganda and has a capacity of approximately 100 kilos / hour. GRASSA is currently scaling up production capacity, to 4 T/h biorefinery in the Netherlands.
