Role in the project: KRC is co-leader of WP4 and coordinator of the Uganda pilot case, responsible for building and implementing a small-scale green biorefinery unit and will support the participating farmers in terms of mechanisation, weed control, harvesting and logistics. KRC will organise a co-creation workshop in Uganda for the co-definition with local stakeholders of suitable small-scale bio-based technologies to be transferred in Africa.
Kabarole Research and Resource Centre (KRC) is a Ugandan Non-Governmental organisation founded in 1996 which has accumulated substantial experience in research and created numerous development programs based on community analyses of the activities which would be most helpful in achieving sustainable and equitable socio-economic development. KRC comprises of five Programme Units: a) Conflict and Peace Building, b) Governance, Policy & Advocacy, c) Food Security and Agribusiness, d) Information, Research and Communication, e) Environment and Energy.
