BIO4Africa-DIVAGRI African Green Transition inspiration workshop 24 April 2024
Climate change is putting smallholder farmers in Africa under unprecedented pressure. Extreme weather conditions and deterioration of the soil are compromising the quality and yield of food and feed crops and posing a serious risk to local livelihoods and the global food supply.
Working in close collaboration with rural communities and other regional stakeholders, the EU-funded BIO4Africa and DIVAGRI projects are piloting small-scale bio-based technologies as potential solutions to these major challenges. The objective is to transform agricultural residues into sustainable products that can mitigate the effects of climate change and generate new sources of income.
On 24 April, the project partners invite you to join an online workshop covering:
- Early results and experiences from pilot production of biochar and biogas
- Sustainability indicators and life cycle assessments
- Business model development and validation
- Circular agriculture training modules and extension work
